53 a woman on the roof threw down a millstone. It landed on Abimelech’s head, crushing his skull.
54 “Kill me!” he groaned to his youthful armor bearer. “Never let it be said that a woman killed Abimelech!”
So the young man pierced him with his sword, and he died. 55 When his men saw that he was dead, they disbanded and returned to their homes.

53 a woman dropped an upper millstone on his head and cracked his skull.(A)
54 Hurriedly he called to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and kill me,(B) so that they can’t say, ‘A woman killed him.’” So his servant ran him through, and he died. 55 When the Israelites saw that Abimelek was dead, they went home.
