^21 (A)But the sons of Benjamin did not drive out the ^(B)Jebusites who lived in Jerusalem; so the Jebusites have lived with the sons of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.

^6 (A)Now the king and his men went to ^(B)Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land; and they said to ^[a]David, “You shall not come in here, but even those who are blind and those who limp will turn you away,” ^[b]thinking, “David cannot enter here.”

Jerusalem Is the Capital City

⁴ Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (^(A)that is, Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.
