¹² So Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the sons of Ammon, saying, “What conflict do you and I have, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

¹⁰ But the king said, “^[a](A)What business of mine is yours, you sons of Zeruiah? ^(B)If he curses, and if the Lord has told him, ‘Curse David,’ ^(C)then who should say, ‘Why have you done so?’”

²² David then said, “^(A)What ^[a]is there between you and me, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be an adversary to me today? ^(B)Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? For do I not know that I am king over Israel today?”

¹⁸ So she said to Elijah, “^[a](A)Why is my business any of yours, you ^(B)man of God? Yet you have come to me to bring my wrongdoing to remembrance, and to put my son to death!”

¹³ Now Elisha said to the king of Israel, “^[a]What business do you have with me? ^(A)Go to your father’s prophets and your mother’s prophets.” But the king of Israel said to him, “No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to hand them over to Moab.”

²¹ But ^[a]Neco sent messengers to him, saying, “^[b](A)What business do you have with me, King of Judah? I am not coming against you today, but against the house with which I am at war, and God has told me to hurry. For your own sake, stop interfering with God who is with me, so that He does not destroy you.”

²⁴ saying, “^(A)What ^[a]business do you have with us, Jesus ^[b]of ^(B)Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are: ^(C)the Holy One of God!”

⁷ and shouting with a loud voice, he *said, “^[a](A)What business do You have with me, Jesus, ^(B)Son of ^(C)the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!”

³⁴ “Leave us alone! ^[a](A)What business do You have with us, Jesus ^[b]of ^(B)Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—^(C)the Holy One of God!”
