⁸ Then Manoah prayed to the Lord, and said, “O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born.”

²⁷ Then a ^(A)man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ^(B)‘Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?

⁶ And he said to him, “Look now, there is in this city ^(A)a man of God, and he is an honorable man; ^(B)all that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way that we should go.”

The Message of the Man of God

13 And behold, ^(A)a man of God went from Judah to Bethel ^[a]by the word of the Lord, ^(B)and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

¹⁸ So she said to Elijah, ^(A)“What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?”
