²⁰ She said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke from his sleep and said, “I will go out as at other times and shake myself free.” But he did not know that ^(A)the Lord had departed from him.

⁶ Then ^(A)the Spirit of God rushed upon Saul when he heard these words, and ^[a]he became very angry.

¹² Now ^(A)Saul was afraid of David, ^(B)because the Lord was with him but ^(C)had left Saul.

¹⁵ And Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul replied, “I am very distressed, for the Philistines are waging war against me, and ^(A)God has abandoned me and ^(B)no longer answers me, either through prophets or in dreams; therefore I have called you, so that you may let me know what I should do.”
