^20 (A)So the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He said, “Because this nation has violated My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to My voice,

¹¹ So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since ^[a]you have done this, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, ^(A)I will certainly tear the kingdom away from you, and will give it to your servant.

^15 (A)They rejected His statutes and ^(B)His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He ^[a]gave them. And ^(C)they followed ^[b]idols and ^(D)became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the ^(E)Lord had commanded them not to do as they did.

¹² This happened because they ^(A)did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, but violated His covenant, all that Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded; they would neither listen nor do it.
