¹⁰ and ^(A)to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean,

²⁶ Her ^(A)priests have done violence to My Law and have ^(B)profaned My holy things; they have made no ^(C)distinction between the holy and the ^[a]common, and they have not taught the difference between the ^(D)unclean and the clean; and they have closed their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am defiled among them.

¹¹ “The Lord of armies says this: ‘^(A)Now ask the priests for a ^[a]ruling: ¹² If someone carries ^(B)holy meat in the ^[b]fold of his garment, and touches bread with ^[c]this fold, or touches cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?’” And the priests answered, “No.” ¹³ Then Haggai said, “^(C)If one who is unclean from a ^[d]corpse touches any of these things, will the latter become unclean?” And the priests answered, “It will become unclean.”
