6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “(A)Do not [a]uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you will not die and that He will not (B)become wrathful against all the congregation. But your [b]relatives, the whole house of Israel, shall weep over the burning which Yahweh has [c]brought about. 7 You shall not even go out from the doorway of the tent of meeting, lest you die; for (C)the anointing oil of Yahweh is upon you.” So they did according to the word of Moses.
8 Yahweh then spoke to Aaron, saying,

6 Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,(A) “Do not let your hair become unkempt[a](B) and do not tear your clothes,(C) or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community.(D) But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn(E) for those the Lord has destroyed by fire. 7 Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting(F) or you will die, because the Lord’s anointing oil(G) is on you.” So they did as Moses said.
8 Then the Lord said to Aaron,
