3 Do not follow the practices of the people of Egypt, where you once lived, or of the people in the land of Canaan, where I am now taking you. 4 Obey my laws and do what I command. I am the Lord your God. 5 (A)Follow the practices and the laws that I give you; you will save your life by doing so. I am the Lord.”

3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices.(A) 4 You must obey my laws(B) and be careful to follow my decrees.(C) I am the Lord your God.(D) 5 Keep my decrees and laws,(E) for the person who obeys them will live by them.(F) I am the Lord.
