¹² “‘Do not swear falsely^(A) by my name^(B) and so profane^(C) the name of your God. I am the Lord.

⁶ They must be holy to their God^(A) and must not profane the name of their God.^(B) Because they present the food offerings to the Lord,^(C) the food of their God,^(D) they are to be holy.^(E)

⁷ “‘They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands,^(F) because priests are holy to their God.^{(G) 8} Regard them as holy,^(H) because they offer up the food of your God.^(I) Consider them holy, because I the Lord am holy—I who make you holy.^(J)

²³ yet because of his defect,^(A) he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary.^(B) I am the Lord, who makes them holy.^(C)’”

² “Tell Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings^(A) the Israelites consecrate to me, so they will not profane my holy name.^(B) I am the Lord.^(C)
