I am the Lord your God. I am holy, and you must be holy too!

²“Speak to the entire assembly of Israel^(A) and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the Lord your God,^(B) am holy.^(C)

¹⁶^(A) That's why the Scriptures say, “I am the holy God, and you must be holy too.”

¹⁶for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”^[a]^(A)
