Leviticus 20:7-9

The Voice

⁷ Dedicate yourselves exclusively to the one True God and become holy, for I, the Eternal your God, am holy.^{[a] 8} Keep My directives and practice My commands, for I am the Eternal who sanctifies you.

⁹ Anyone who utters a curse on his father or mother must be put to death,^[b] for he has dishonored them, and their blood is on him.
