Leviticus 21:4-6
New American Standard Bible
4 He shall not defile himself as a [a]relative by marriage among his people, so as to profane himself. 5 (A)They shall not shave any area on their heads bald, (B)nor shave off the edges of their beards, (C)nor make any cuts in their flesh. 6 They shall be holy to their God and (D)not profane the name of their God, because they present the offerings by fire [b]to the Lord, (E)the food of their God; so they shall be holy.

4 He must not make himself unclean for people related to him by marriage,[a] and so defile himself.
5 “‘Priests must not shave(A) their heads or shave off the edges of their beards(B) or cut their bodies.(C) 6 They must be holy to their God(D) and must not profane the name of their God.(E) Because they present the food offerings to the Lord,(F) the food of their God,(G) they are to be holy.(H)
