26 Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 27 “When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, then[b] it shall be under its mother for seven days, and from the eighth day and beyond it is acceptable as an offering made by fire for Yahweh. 28 And you shall not slaughter an ox or a sheep and its young[c] on the same day.[d]

26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “When a calf, a lamb or a goat(A) is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days.(B) From the eighth day(C) on, it will be acceptable(D) as a food offering presented to the Lord. 28 Do not slaughter a cow or a sheep and its young on the same day.(E)
