28 Do no work on that day, because it is the day for performing the ritual to take away sin. 29 Any who eat anything on that day will no longer be considered God's people. 30 And if any do any work on that day, the Lord himself will put them to death.

Leviticus 23:28-30
New International Version
28 Do not do any work(A) on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people.(B) 30 I will destroy from among their people(C) anyone who does any work on that day.
