15 You shall speak to the Israelites, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God will bear his sin [through his own death]. 16 Further, the one who blasphemes the name of the Lord shall most certainly be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him. The stranger as well as the native-born shall be put to death when he blasphemes the Name [of the Lord].

17 ‘If a man takes the life of any human being [unlawfully], he shall most certainly be put to death.

15 Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God(A) will be held responsible;(B) 16 anyone who blasphemes(C) the name of the Lord is to be put to death.(D) The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.
17 “‘Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death.(E)
