19 ‘If a man causes disfigurement of his neighbor, as (A)he has done, so shall it be done to him— 20 fracture for (B)fracture, (C)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him. 21 And whoever kills an animal shall restore it; but whoever kills a man shall be put to death.

19 Anyone who injures their neighbor is to be injured in the same manner: 20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth.(A) The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury. 21 Whoever kills an animal must make restitution,(B) but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death.(C)
