⁴ Circumcise yourselves to the Lord,
    circumcise your hearts,^(A)
    you people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem,
or my wrath^(B) will flare up and burn like fire^(C)
    because of the evil^(D) you have done—
    burn with no one to quench^(E) it.

¹⁰ To whom can I speak and give warning?
    Who will listen^(A) to me?
Their ears are closed^[a](B)
    so they cannot hear.^(C)
The word^(D) of the Lord is offensive to them;
    they find no pleasure in it.
