² The cities ^[a]of ^(A)Aroer are abandoned;
They will be for ^(B)herds ^[b]to lie down in,
And there will be ^(C)no one to frighten them.

⁴ Instead, each of them will ^(A)sit under his vine
And under his fig tree,
With ^(B)no one to make them afraid,
Because the ^(C)mouth of the Lord of armies has spoken.

¹³ The ^(A)remnant of Israel will ^(B)do no wrong
And ^(C)tell no lies,
Nor will a deceitful tongue
Be found in their mouths;
For they will ^(D)feed and lie down
With no one to frighten them.”
