⁴¹ and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies—and if their uncircumcised hearts will be humbled,^(A) and if they will pay the penalty for their sin,

¹⁶ Therefore, circumcise your hearts^(A) and don’t be stiff-necked any longer.

²⁶ Egypt, Judah, Edom, the Ammonites, Moab, and all the inhabitants of the desert who clip the hair on their temples.^[a] All these nations are uncircumcised, and the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.”^(A)
