16 The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as food, an offering by fire as a soothing aroma; (A)all fat is the Lords. 17 It is a (B)permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places: you shall not eat any fat (C)or any blood.’”

This shall be done so that the sons of Israel will bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing [a]in the open field—so that they will bring them to the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the Lord. The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and (A)offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to the Lord.
