(A)Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.

14 Of [a]this he shall present one of every offering as a [b]contribution to the Lord; (A)it shall [c]belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.

15 (B)Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning. 16 But if the sacrifice of his offering is a [d](C)vow or a [e]voluntary offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next [f]day what is left of it may be eaten; 17 (D)but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire. 18 So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is ever eaten on the third day, he who offers it will not be accepted, and it will not be credited to him. It will be an (E)unclean thing, and the person who eats it shall bear his punishment.

19 ‘Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. [g]As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh. 20 (F)But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, [h]when he is unclean, that person (G)shall be cut off from his people. 21 (H)When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean [i]detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat (I)any fat from an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24 Also the fat of an animal which dies and the fat of an animal (J)torn by animals may be put to any other use, but you certainly are not to eat it. 25 For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which [j]an offering by fire is offered to the Lord, the person who eats it shall also be cut off from his people. 26 And (K)you are not to eat any blood, either of bird or animal, in any of your dwellings. 27 Any person who eats any blood, that person shall also be cut off from his people.’”

28 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 29 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘He who offers (L)the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord shall bring his offering to the Lord from the sacrifice of his peace offerings. 30 His own hands are to bring offerings by fire to the Lord. He shall bring the fat with the breast, so that the (M)breast may be [k]presented as a wave offering before the Lord. 31 And the priest shall offer up the fat in smoke on the altar, but (N)the breast shall belong to Aaron and to his sons. 32 And you shall give (O)the right thigh to the priest as a [l]contribution from the sacrifices of your peace offerings. 33 The one among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, the right thigh shall be his as his portion. 34 For I have taken from the sons of Israel (P)the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the [m]contribution from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as their allotted portion forever from the sons of Israel.

35 ‘This is the (Q)allotment to Aaron and the allotment to his sons from the offerings by fire to the Lord, on that day when he presented them to serve as priests to the Lord. 36 [n]These the Lord had commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel on the day that He (R)anointed them. It is their allotted portion forever throughout their generations.’”

37 This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering and the guilt offering, and (S)the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings, 38 (T)which the Lord commanded Moses on Mount Sinai on the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to [o]present their offerings to the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai.

17 (A)You are not allowed to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, new wine, or oil, or the firstborn of your herd or flock, or any of your vowed offerings which you vow, or your [a]voluntary offerings, or the [b]contribution of your hand. 18 But (B)you shall eat them before the Lord your God in (C)the place which the Lord your God will choose, you and your son and daughter, and your male and female slaves, and the (D)Levite who is within your gates; and you shall (E)rejoice before the Lord your God in all [c]your undertakings. 19 (F)Be careful that you do not abandon the Levite [d]as long as you live in your land.

20 “When the Lord your God extends your border (G)as He has [e]promised you, and you say, ‘I will eat meat,’ because [f]you desire to eat meat, then you may eat meat, [g]whatever you desire. 21 If the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, then you may slaughter animals from your herd and flock which the Lord has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates [h]whatever you desire. 22 Just as a gazelle or a deer is eaten, so you may eat it; the unclean and the clean alike may eat it. 23 Only be sure (H)not to eat the blood, for the blood is the [i]life, and you shall not eat the [j]life with the flesh. 24 You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the ground like water. 25 You shall not eat it, so that (I)it may go well for you and your sons after you, since (J)you will be doing what is right in the sight of the Lord. 26 (K)Only your holy things which you may have and your vowed offerings, you shall take and go to the place which the Lord chooses. 27 And (L)you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of the Lord your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the Lord your God, and (M)you shall eat the flesh.

28 “Be careful and listen to all these words which I am commanding you, so that (N)it may go well for you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.

29 “When (O)the Lord your God cuts off from you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and live in their land, 30 be careful that you are not ensnared [k]to follow them, after they are destroyed from your presence, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?’ 31 (P)You shall not behave this way toward the Lord your God, because every abominable act which the Lord hates, they have done for their gods; for (Q)they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire for their gods.

32 [l](R)Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; (S)you shall not add to nor take anything away from it.
