27 While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.”(A) 28 He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
The Demand for a Sign.[a] 29 While still more people gathered in the crowd, he said to them,(B) “This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah.(C)

27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”(A)
28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God(B) and obey it.”(C)
The Sign of Jonah(D)
29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign,(E) but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.(F)
