Have No Fear

⁴ “I tell you, my friends, ^(A)do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.

¹² and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they ^(A)will kill me, but they will let you live. ¹³ Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”

² And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, ^(A)“She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.

¹¹ Abraham said, “I did it because I thought, ^(A)‘There is no fear of God at all in this place, and ^(B)they will kill me because of my wife.’
