14 [a]And the [b]ruler of the Synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus healed on the Sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.
15 Then answered him the Lord, and said, Hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the Sabbath day loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to the water?
16 And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?

14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath,(A) the synagogue leader(B) said to the people, “There are six days for work.(C) So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?(D) 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham,(E) whom Satan(F) has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
