8 The master commended the dishonest steward for his prudence; for the sons of this world[a] are wiser in their own generation than the sons of light.[b] 9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal habitations.
10 “He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.

8 “The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world(A) are more shrewd(B) in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.(C) 9 I tell you, use worldly wealth(D) to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.(E)
10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much,(F) and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
