22 [a]And he said unto the disciples, the days will come, when ye shall desire to see [b]one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 (A)[c]Then they shall say to you, Behold here, or behold there: but go not thither, neither follow them.
24 For as the lightning that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day.

22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man,(A) but you will not see it.(B) 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(C) 24 For the Son of Man in his day[a] will be like the lightning,(D) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.
