23 When people say to you, “Look there,” or “Look here,” don't go looking for him. 24 The day of the Son of Man will be like lightning flashing across the sky. 25 But first he must suffer terribly and be rejected by the people of today.

23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(A) 24 For the Son of Man in his day[a] will be like the lightning,(B) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things(C) and be rejected(D) by this generation.(E)
