23 They will say to you, ‘He is here,’ or, ‘He is there,’ but do not follow them. 24 When the Son of Man comes, He will be as lightning that shines from one part of the sky to the other. 25 But before that, He must suffer many hard things. The people of this day will have nothing to do with Him.

23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(A) 24 For the Son of Man in his day[a] will be like the lightning,(B) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things(C) and be rejected(D) by this generation.(E)
