35 Then the two men[a] began to tell what had happened on the road and how they had recognized him when he broke the bread in pieces.

36 While they were all talking about this, Jesus[b] himself stood among them and told them, “Peace be with you.”[c]
37 They were startled and terrified, thinking they were seeing a ghost.
