11 He answered them, “If you have two coats, give one to him who has none. If you have food, you must share some.” 12 Tax-gatherers came to be baptized also. They asked him, “Teacher, what are we to do?” 13 He said to them, “Do not take more money from people than you should.”

11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”(A)
12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized.(B) “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”
13 “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,”(C) he told them.
