16 Yet He often withdrew to deserted places and prayed.(A)
The Son of Man Forgives and Heals
17 On one of those days while He was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law(B) were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and also from Jerusalem. And the Lord’s power to heal was in Him.(C) 18 Just then some men came,(D) carrying on a mat a man who was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and set him down before Him.

17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law(C) were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.(D) 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.
