16 But Jesus often slipped away to other places to be alone so that he could pray.
Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man
17 One day Jesus was teaching the people. The Pharisees and teachers of the law were there, too. They had come from every town in Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. The Lord was giving Jesus the power to heal people. 18 There was a man who was paralyzed. Some men were carrying him on a mat. They tried to bring him in and put him down before Jesus.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man(B)
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law(C) were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.(D) 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.
