27 This is he of whom it is written, (A)Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
28 For I say unto you, there is no greater Prophet than John, among them that are begotten of women: nevertheless, he that is the least in the kingdom of God, is greater than he.
29 Then all the people that heard, and the Publicans [a]justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

27 This is the one about whom it is written:
28 I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God(B) is greater than he.”
29 (All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John.(C)
