Luke 9:19-21

¹⁹And they answering said, `John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that a prophet, one of the ancients, was risen;'

²⁰and he said to them, `And ye -- who do ye say me to be?' and Peter answering said, `The Christ of God.'

²¹And having charged them, he commanded [them] to say this to no one,

Luke 9:19-21

New International Version

¹⁹They replied, “Some say John the Baptist;^(A) others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.”^(B)

²⁰“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”^(C)

²¹Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone.^(D)
