22 saying,(A) “It is necessary that the Son of Man(B) suffer many things(C) and be rejected(D) by the elders, chief priests, and scribes,(E) be killed, and be raised the third day.”(F)

23 Then he said to them all, “If anyone wants to follow after[a] me, let him deny himself,(G) take up his cross daily,[b] and follow me.(H) 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will save it.(I)
