Luke 9:49-51

⁴⁹“Master,” commented John, “we saw someone casting out demons in your name. We told him to stop, because he wasn’t part of our company.”

⁵⁰“Don’t stop him,” replied Jesus. “Anyone who isn’t against you is on your side.”

⁵¹As the time came nearer for Jesus to be taken up, he settled it in his mind to go to Jerusalem.

Luke 9:49-51

⁴⁹“Master,”^(A) said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.”

⁵⁰“Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”^(B)

⁵¹As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven,^(C) Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.^(D)
