³⁵ The angel replied to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you,^(A) and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.^(B)

³⁵ But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.^(A) For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

²⁸ When he saw Jesus, he cried out,^(A) fell down before him, and said in a loud voice, “What do you have to do with me,^(B) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?^(C) I beg you, don’t torment me!”

³⁵ Then a voice came from the cloud,^(A) saying, “This is my Son,^(B) the Chosen One;^[a](C) listen to him!” ^(D)

³⁴ I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”^[a](A)

⁴⁹ “Rabbi,”^(A) Nathanael replied, “You are the Son^(B) of God; you are the King of Israel!” ^(C)

²⁷ “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe you are the Messiah,^(A) the Son^(B) of God, who comes into the world.”^(C)

⁴⁸ but the Most High does not dwell in sanctuaries made with hands, as the prophet says:^(A)
