19 Look, I have given you the authority(A) to trample(B) on snakes(C) and scorpions(D) and over all the power of the enemy;(E) nothing will ever harm you.(F) 20 However, don’t rejoice that[a] the spirits(G) submit to you,(H) but rejoice that your names are written(I) in heaven.”
The Son Reveals the Father
21 In that same hour(J) He[b] rejoiced in the Holy[c] Spirit(K) and said, “I praise[d] You, Father,(L) Lord of heaven and earth,(M) because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned(N) and have revealed them to infants.(O) Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.[e](P)
