(A)And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, (B)and he sent them out to (C)proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. (D)And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, (E)no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.[a] And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town (F)shake off the dust from your feet (G)as a testimony (H)against them.”

(A)Acquire no gold nor silver nor copper for your belts, 10 no bag for your journey, nor two tunics[a] nor sandals nor a staff, for (B)the labourer deserves his food. 11 And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. 12 As you enter the house, (C)greet it. 13 And if the house is (D)worthy, let (E)your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let (F)your peace return to you. 14 And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, (G)shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. 15 Truly, I say to you, (H)it will be more bearable on the day of judgement for (I)the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.
