8 But you priests have left God’s paths. Your instructions have caused many to stumble into sin. You have corrupted the covenant I made with the Levites,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 9 “So I have made you despised and humiliated in the eyes of all the people. For you have not obeyed me but have shown favoritism in the way you carry out my instructions.”
A Call to Faithfulness
10 Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors?

8 But you have turned from the way(A) and by your teaching have caused many to stumble;(B) you have violated the covenant(C) with Levi,”(D) says the Lord Almighty. 9 “So I have caused you to be despised(E) and humiliated(F) before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality(G) in matters of the law.”(H)
Breaking Covenant Through Divorce
10 Do we not all have one Father[a]?(I) Did not one God create us?(J) Why do we profane the covenant(K) of our ancestors by being unfaithful(L) to one another?
