Robbing God
7 “Since the days of your fathers, you have turned from My statutes; you have not kept them.(A) Return to Me,(B) and I will return to you,”(C) says the Lord of Hosts.
But you ask: “How can we return?”
8 “Will a man rob(D) God? Yet you are robbing Me!”
You ask: “How do we rob You?”
“By not making the payments of the tenth and the contributions.(E) 9 You are suffering under a curse, yet you—the whole nation—are still robbing Me.

7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away(A) from my decrees and have not kept them. Return(B) to me, and I will return to you,”(C) says the Lord Almighty.
“But you ask,(D) ‘How are we to return?’
8 “Will a mere mortal rob(E) God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes(F) and offerings. 9 You are under a curse(G)—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
