38 And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also; for that is why I came out.” 39 And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.

40 And a leper came to him beseeching him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.”

38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”(A) 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues(B) and driving out demons.(C)

40 A man with leprosy[a] came to him and begged him on his knees,(E) “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
