6 (A)Now John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins: and he did eat (B)locusts and wild honey,
7 (C)[a]And preached, saying, A stronger than I cometh after me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to [b]stoop down, and unloose.
8 Truth it is, I have [c]baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the holy Ghost.

6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist,(A) and he ate locusts(B) and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.(C) 8 I baptize you with[a] water, but he will baptize you with[b] the Holy Spirit.”(D)
