²² The people^[a] were utterly amazed at his teaching, because he was teaching them like one with authority, and not like their scribes. ²³ All of a sudden,^[b] there was a man in their synagogue who had an unclean spirit! He screamed, ²⁴ “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”
