The Great Commission

¹⁴ Later he appeared to the Eleven^(A) themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen.^(B)

The Reality of the Risen Jesus

³⁶ As^(A) they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst. He said to them, “Peace^(B) to you!”

The Disciples Commissioned

¹⁹ When it was evening on that first day of the week,^(A) the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”^(B)

²⁶ A week later his disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

⁴¹ not by all the people, but by us whom God appointed as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.^(A)
