¹⁶and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,^(A) and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.^(B)

²²Pilate *said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus ^(A)who is called Christ?” They all *said, “^[a]Crucify Him!”

²²“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?”^(A) Pilate asked.

They all answered, “Crucify him!”
