39 (A)Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it.

40 (C)“Whoever welcomes you welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes God's messenger because he is God's messenger, will share in his reward. And whoever welcomes a good man because he is good, will share in his reward.

39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.(A)
40 “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me,(B) and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.(C) 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.
