The Reward for Service

⁴⁰ “^(A)The one who ^[a]receives you ^[b]receives Me, and ^(B)the one who ^[c]receives Me ^[d]receives Him who sent Me.

³⁷ “^(A)Whoever ^[a]receives ^[b]one child like this in My name ^[c]receives Me; and whoever ^[d]receives Me does not ^[e]receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

⁴⁸ and He said to them, “^(A)Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; ^(B)for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.”

²⁰ Truly, truly I say to you, ^(A)the one who ^[a]receives anyone I send, ^[b]receives Me; and the one who ^[c]receives Me ^[d]receives Him who sent Me.”

¹⁴ and you did not despise that which was a trial to you in my ^[a]bodily condition, nor express contempt, but ^(A)you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus Himself.
