52 “Therefore,” He said to them, “every student of Scripture[a] instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”(A) 53 When Jesus had finished these parables, He left there.

54 He went to His hometown(B) and began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “How did this wisdom and these miracles come to Him?(C)

52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
A Prophet Without Honor(A)
53 When Jesus had finished these parables,(B) he moved on from there. 54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue,(C) and they were amazed.(D) “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.
